Racism

"Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics." In today's society, racism has become a major problem and is evident in almost of the world's issues. One of the reasons the Black Lives Movement started was because caucasian police officers abused their power and attacked black men because of their race. there was even a video that surface a year or two ago where a bunch of white ceos were chanting that they will/don't hire black people. People hold lot of prejudices against other people just on their race.
I choose this topic because it affects me and most of the people I care about because we're apart the minority. Here, in the united states, the minorities are the ones recieving the short end of the stick, and the same can be appiled internationally. This doesnt mean that Caucasian people arent also discriminated against. BlackLivesMatter, is a current movement, about the treatment, attacks, and the lack of justice for african americans. Rascism is one of the worst things about our species and it needs to end before it can destroy us. If i were to end it will also mean that we have evolved in species that cares more for each other.
the monument i want to see bulit is a sculpture of two boys, one white and the other black, and two girls, black and white as well. But they will be holding hands, to show that they stand together as humans and not as black and white kid who have hate for each other based on the color of their skin and race. they would be made out of of marble, warm & cool colors. They will be the same age, male and female, respectively. they would be in 21st century clothing. I also want to make them look as life like as possible (life size).  Childern are the future and want the sculpture to continue into that peaceful future. 
I want it to be placed in or in front of the white house so that it can be seen by everyone in the United States to see. Also for Humanity, i believe that everyone should see no matter what age. i choose washington because Internationally America is looked at from the white house. The president can be there when it is placed and televisied. 
I want people to feel good and think about all the times they have been racist or think about their childern and how they are growing up in a time where racism is so apparent. they need to look at the sculpture as if it were there for thousands of years and they have been ignoring it the whole time.
