Even though I was raised in Brooklyn, like many people in this melting pot of a city, my family is from another country. Being the Jamerican that I am (Jamaican/american), I LOVE Jamaican food. During my pre-pescatarian days, my favorite dish was curried goat with macaroni pie and steamed cabbage. Major comfort dish. Now, I've learned how to make amazing gourmet mac and cheese many different ways. Most versions including some type of a green veggie and all containing roasted garlic. Cooking is one of the ways in which I keep creative.

Besides cooking, I thoroughly enjoy singing which I've been doing, seemingly, forever, playing cello which I've done since the age of 9 and yoga which is a more recent favorite past time of mine. One thing that I'm quite passionate about is the arts in general. All forms whether that be visual or performing. I valued freedom and expression and the beauty of art about all else.

I was born and raised in New York and even though my Father is naturalized and my mother is a resident they are both from Mexico. 2 or out many things i like to do, is to listen to music and to draw. I have many favorite foods and one of many would be Okonomiyaki, (this is a Japanese pancake that consists of a variety of ingredients with seafood. The word derives from okonomi that means "what you like" or "what you want" and yaki meaning "cooked" or "grilled".) Which can be partly seen at the lower right of the picture.

Hey guys, I'm Karyn! :) I was born and raised in Connecticut, but I moved to the Bronx at the age of 13 and have lived here ever since. My mother is Puertorican & my father is Dominican. But, I don't like to speak Spanish and only understand half of it when it's spoken to me. Weird, I know. Anyhow, two things I like to do are sketching and watching supernatural or crime shows. I also write poetry once in a while, but mostly during times of distress. My favorite foods are macaroni & cheese, grilled cheese, pizza, fries, and mashed potatoes. I can eat any of that every day if I had to. As for my education, I am not positive where I am heading ever since I started with my art. Since I have noticed how well I do with it I have considered tattooing. But, for years and years I have always wanted to be a therapist. I am a great listener and have experienced a lot so I enjoy giving advice and helping others get back up when they are down. Maybe I can do both, who knows. Let's see!

Hi everyone, my name is Charles Tye Miller, I'm from Tokyo, Japan originally but moved to Switzerland when I was 10 then here in NYC when I was 16. This is my first semester back at school since I was 18 and I am very excited to be doing something new. I've spent the past 5 years or so as a professional musician traveling the world and playing shows, I still play very often here in New York but I'm no longer interested in being on the road for 6 months out of the year. I play guitar in a Industrial/Electronic band called L.O.T.I.O.N. and I play bass in a punk rock band called Mommy. These two projects take up most of my free time and when I'm not in class or doing classwork I'm working on music.

My name is Anthony Gomez; my family is from Gambia, a West African country. I just graduated high school this past June. I live in the Bronx, with my mother, father, sister and grandfather. One of the mysteries about me is my last name, I get a lot of questions like "How does a African have a Spanish last name?", "Are you sure your not Spanish?", etc. I enjoy writing and watching TV, I know a lot of people are like what does watching TV have to do with anything. Hello, My name is Gisela but i rather be called Gisell since most people can't get the pronunciation right. I'm Peruvian and Spanish with a pinch of Japanese. I know it's a pretty weird combination however i love my roots and family, specially the food. I'm super obsess with sushi and bentos, I don't know much about my espanior roots but however I consider myself more Peruvian than anything i was raise there until the age of  9 so i pretty much enjoy all the exquisite varieties of cuisine that we have. I am fascinated and love the ideology of love. The concept f it the energy shared and produced. All my life I lived by it. I have a fiance with me whom is also my best friend.
